Four-ply, gauze sponge is a standard nonwoven dressing. Compared to traditional cotton gauze, this rayon/polyester blend gauze produces less lint and is less traumatic to fragile granulating wound tissue because it's virtually nonadherent. Faster wicking ability promotes a healthier healing environment.
